We put Noah on the carpet with a blanket under him to see if he could roll over again, and within seconds he did. Again, I shot a video of his next try. I'll let everyone know if he starts walking in the next few days...

A Video!
So, I put Noah down on our bed to give him some tummy time and to take pictures. At one point, I looked up to talk to Jana, and when I looked back at Noah he was on his back, not his stomach. Is it possible for a 2 1/2 week old baby to roll over? I put Noah back on his stomach, and again, he rolled over on to his back! I don't know if he was actually trying to, and I think the softness of the bed made it easier for him to roll over, but it's still pretty crazy. So, I put Noah back on his stomach, took a video, and he did it again! I don't know, maybe he just got lucky, but rolling over three times makes me think he knew what he was doing...
This wasn't his best attempt of the three, but it was the only one we caught with the camera:

Update
Sorry for not updating everyone sooner, but it has been a busy week. Both Jana and Noah had doctor appointments on Tuesday, and both got sparkling reports. We've also had a lot of visitors this week, and as I've said before, we love having people over. Without having people come by, I think it would start to feel a little like Groundhog Day, so with everyone visiting, it helps break up the days.
So, I added a number of pictures to the online web album (http://picasaweb.google.com/115086009996586494935/Noah), and will hopefully have a few more updates over the next few days.
Happy New Year!

Christmas With the Bendiks
Christmas day was another fun day. It was the first day that the cousins spent together (Zoe is just about 2 months old), and between the two of them, I think they got more gifts than the rest of the family combined. But dinner was delicious, and the day was a nice end to an interesting holiday season that brought us many wonderful changes.

Mr. Popular
We've had over 1000 visits to the blog! Apparently a lot of people think Noah is pretty awesome and want to keep checking in. Glad everyone is enjoying the blog!
Christmas With the Ogrodniks
My family just left after a great evening of delicious food and fun company. Thanks, mom, for making everything, it was all fantastic! It was nice to spend time with the family, and to have everyone over to share this time with Noah. I'm sure Noah enjoyed napping in the arms of his aunt, uncles and grandparents. And he's already getting more gifts than anyone else!
Our Christmas Present
So, let me preface this by saying that these photos were Jana's idea. Now this doesn't mean that I wasn't totally on board, but to hopefully spare me some teasing from my brothers and friends I want it to be clear that this is per Jana's request. That being said, I think it's adorable.
Merry Christmas everyone!

First Bath
Big Day!
Well, it was more like a big night. Noah slept in his crib all night last night, for the first time! This was a huge deal for Jana and me. Noah had been having trouble sleeping without one of us holding him, so Jana and I were switching off on three hour shifts during the night, which, as you can imagine, is exhausting. Hopefully last night wasn't an anomaly but actually the start of a new trend.
Jana also wanted me to share with everyone that Noah had his first "blow out" today. In other words, he pooped so much, or with such force, that it shot out of his diaper... what Jana calls a blowout... So, hurray, I guess? (Sorry to anyone with an uneasy stomach).
Finally, a picture of Noah and daddy taking a nap today:

First Doctor's Appointment
Noah had his first check-up today, and all went well. Aside from a little diaper rash, our baby boy is in good health and doing well. No shots yet, but those will come soon enough (that'll be a fun visit...). But he handled his check-up well and hardly fussed, he's been a very calm baby so far. Hopefully that won't change as he gets older!
Noah is also happy that his Bears won yesterday - he's undefeated so far in his little life!

Settling In
We had a nice weekend at home with Noah, and enjoyed all the visits from friends and family. Noah has been a peaceful and content little dude, and if he does fuss, it's usually just for a minute. The nights have been a little more difficult, but he's starting to settle in to them as well. He has had some trouble falling asleep without having Jana or I near, but he's 7 days old, who can blame him? We have our first check-up tomorrow, and we are looking forward to spending Christmas with our families! Remember to keep checking the online photo album (http://picasaweb.google.com/115086009996586494935/NoahSBirthDay), but here are a few pics from the weekend:

Home
Going Home!
So we are heading home today! We should be out of the hospital by noon, hopefully sooner, and we are excited to get Noah home and settled in. He was in the nursery last night, so we were able to get a little more sleep, but hopefully just being at home will be a little more restful than being in the hospital (definitely more comfortable, at least). Once we have Noah bundled up in his first little outfit, I'll take some pictures and post them later today or tonight. Enjoy your Friday!

Update and Pics
I thought it would be nice to post a few more photos from today and yesterday, and remember to check the web album of pictures that I linked in a previous post (here it is again: http://picasaweb.google.com/115086009996586494935/NoahSBirthDay ). And once again, thanks to everyone who has sent us a message, given us a call, posted a comment and/or paid us a visit. We love hearing from everyone!
Day 3
Last night Noah slept much better, and I got some rest in between his feedings, but Jana still had trouble falling asleep. This morning the hospital sent a professional photographer in to take some photos of Noah, and while prints are pretty darn expensive, some of you may be interested. Either way, you can see the photos by going to www.bellababyphotography.com and clicking on "view photos". You need to enter a password, which is 1213noahogrodnik. There's about 2 dozen pictures to look through, and most of them are pretty frickin cute.
Hopefully we will be heading home tomorrow night, we will keep everyone updated (and should be adding more pictures today too...).

Day 2
Our first night with Noah was mostly sleepless, but we're hanging in there and doing our best to catch up on the z's. Noah is getting cuter by the minute, and opening his little eyes more and more. He's got blue eyes now, but I have the feeling they'll end up brown or hazel - we'll see! Most of our time today has been focused on getting the guy fed and rested, so there aren't a ton of new pictures, but keep an eye on the slideshow to the right, any new pictures will end up there. If you click on the picture, it should take you to an album that has all the pictures for you to see. Or, you can just click on this link: http://picasaweb.google.com/115086009996586494935/NoahSBirthDay#

Today's the day!
Our bags are packed, and we are heading to the hospital shortly. We can't believe that these 39 weeks have gone by so quickly and the big day is already here. But we're ready, and we can't wait to see the little guy. I'll be eager to put pictures up for everyone to see, so check back later tonight and I should have something up!

Noah's not even born yet and he has a website...
It's December! That means that Noah is on his way and will be here soon. It's amazing to think that in a few short days Jana and I will be parents, and all of our families will be one little guy bigger. We are hoping that this blog can serve as a way for everyone to see pictures, videos, and updates of Noah, and share with us in the joy of his life!
