More Pictures

Just some cute pictures of Noah from the last few days.

The Burping Process

So, Noah doesn't cry often, but when he does it usually means he's hungry, or he has gas.  And when he's hungry, the last thing he wants is for the bottle to be taken away from him.  This means that when you burp him halfway through, Noah isn't too happy to have his meal interrupted.  You can see from the pictures below...

Just after taking the bottle away, wondering what the heck is going on.

Realizing that you took his food away.

Why in the world would you take my bottle away?

Then he gets a burp out and...

all is well!

New Video

We took a video today of Noah laying on his activity mat, just being his cute little self.  He smiles a bunch, makes some noises, and has this little lip quiver - it's all precious.  Enjoy!

Doctor's Appointment

Noah had a check-up yesterday with his pediatrician, and we are happy to report that all is well.  He's now 9 lbs 11 oz, and 22 inches.  So, he's grown 2 inches since he was born and added 2 lbs!  The doctor said he looks great and we are doing a good job with him.  Noah did need to get a follow up to the hepatitis B vaccine, and it was a BIG needle.  Noah cried for about 20 seconds, and shed some actual tears, but the crying was fleeting and he was quickly back to his calm self.  Now, during his next check up, he gets the full gamut of shots, we'll see how that goes...

Quick Update

So our good friend Goose has a webcomic that he writes, and I asked him to make a comic about Noah.  Goose was happy to oblige and posted the comic last Friday.  Goose posts a new comic every Tuesday and Friday, and you can go back and look at all of his previous strips.  Check out Goose's comic at http://www.recyclinggonewrong.thecomicseries.com/comics/63/, it's very well done and always entertaining.  And thanks Goose!

Noah Gets A Homemade Cradle

My brother Jon made Noah a cradle, and it is absolutely beautiful.  We gave it a test drive today, and Noah loved it, he quickly started to fall asleep in it.  So, the cradle will be a wonderful help, and it honestly looks like something you could find in a store.  Jon put a ton of time into it, and it certainly shows.  Thank you Jon, the cradle is destined to become a family heirloom!

One Month!

Noah is 1 month old today, and I thought everyone would like to see some new pictures of the little man.  In the last week or so, he's become more alert and is constantly looking around at everything that catches his attention.  We've been able to coax a few smiles out of him, I can't wait to hear what his little laugh sounds like!  Words can't describe how much we love Noah, the last month with him has truly been a blessing.  We are two lucky parents!  So, some pictures...

The first picture is from the day Noah was born, and the second is from today:

And the pictures below are all from today, with Noah wearing his favorite "tie":

A Short Video

Here's a short sweet little video I thought people would enjoy, just a quick shot of Noah smiling:

4 weeks old!

Noah is four weeks old today, it's amazing to think that much time has already passed.  But he continues to be a joy and an easy-going baby, pretty much only getting upset when he doesn't have his pacifier... he loves that thing.  The three of us got out today and ran some errands, and though the first few weeks weren't too bad, I think cabin fever is starting to set in a bit.  Jana and I have found time to get out a little bit, but we will look forward to warmer weather in the spring when we can take him out for more walks.

We were originally thinking of today as his "1 month day", but we are going to wait until the 13th, since he was born on the 13th.  So, come that day I will post some pictures of him on the day he was born and on his 1 month day so everyone can see how much he's changed.  But until then, enjoy the pictures below.  And as always, check the web album for a few more pictures that I didn't post below!

New Pictures

I thought it would be nice to give a quick update on Noah and share a few new pictures.  So, Noah is doing well, still rolling over, and becoming more alert.  He's definitely starting to see more of the world around him, and does a very good job of holding his head up to look around.  Noah is a strong little dude.  He's also been sleeping pretty well at night, and is starting to take a longer nap at night (about 4 hours, sometimes more), which will bode well for Jana and I.  It's crazy to think that next Monday, a whole month will have already come and gone.  Before we know it he'll be talking, then soon after that he'll be talking back...

A few pictures are below, but as always, there are more new pics in the web album.  Enjoy!
