Finally Another Update

It's been a few weeks, but with the Easter weekend we thought it'd be nice to share some of the pictures.  It was nice spending time with our families on Saturday and Sunday, our moms both cooked some amazing meals and we enjoyed everyone's company.

With work it's been hard to keep up with taking pictures, but with the summer fast approaching you can expect a spike in the frequency of posts come June, July and August.  So if you feel like you haven't been getting your Noah fix over the last few weeks, just sit tight!

Four Months

Noah turned four months old today, and we celebrated by taking him to the doctor to get a few shots... Well, that's not how we celebrated, but that did happen.  I left work early (really early) and came home to hang out with Noah and Jana, and to take Noah to his appointment.  Also, my cousin Tucker's fiance Laura was in town as she's trekking from New York to Portland, so she spent the day with us as well.  All in all, an awesome day!

Now, on to Noah and his doctor visit.  Noah checked in at 16 lbs even, and 25 inches, putting him in the 75th percentile in weight and the 50th percentile in height (he was previously in 50th for weight and 75th for height).  During the visit Noah was incredibly happy and playful, and was basically smiling the whole time.  Dr. Gehle had fun playing with Noah, and said Noah pretty much made her day.  The check went well, with the doctor saying Noah looked great and that she wouldn't be surprised if he was crawling before 6 months (he was wiggling around A LOT).  Noah did get two shots, and he cried a bit, but it really wasn't too difficult to calm him down, and so far we haven't seen any side effects, knock on wood.

Finally, as has been tradition, we posted some pictures of Noah in his 4 month "tie", with more on the web album.  Enjoy!

The Zoo!

We made the most of the summer-like weather and went to the Lincoln Park Zoo today.  Our friends Fizz, Aimee and Eli joined us, and we walked around the zoo, then took a long walk to Old Town for some lunch.  The day was a nice taste of what the summer should be like... I can't wait.  There's only a handful of pictures of Noah, since he wasn't really reacting much to the animals and was in and out of naps, but I posted pictures of our day as well.  Most of them are below, but there's a few more on the web album too.

At The Park

Even though the day wasn't quite as nice as it was supposed to be, we took Noah out for breakfast and to the park.  The dude absolutely loves the swing, I think it might be his favorite thing (after mommy and daddy of course).  I'll let the pictures tell the story.  And, as always, check the web album for more pictures.

Our Trip to Charleston

We got back from Charleston on Thursday, and aside from the non-cooperative weather we had a great time.  Noah handled both flights very well, and basically just slept through them.  We were looking forward to spending time on the beach and taking Noah in the pool a bit, but unfortunately the weather just didn't let it happen.  The entire time we were in Charleston it was raining and in the 60s, which is not very typical for this time of year.  But Noah seemed to enjoy his time there and the extra time he had with Grandma and Grandpa Bendik, and seeing as this was the third time Jana and I have gone to Charleston, I'm sure Noah has many more trips there in store for him.  Another downside to the bad weather is that I didn't get to take as many pictures as I hoped to, and of those I did get, Noah is sleeping in most of them.  Nonetheless, just about all the pictures from Charleston are on the web album, as well as a video from when we got home of Noah in his jumperoo (so make sure you check out the web album)!  You might not be able to tell from the pictures, but Noah has gotten MUCH bigger over the last few weeks.  Strangers who ask how old he is are surprised to hear that he's 3 1/2 months and not 6 months.  Noah goes to the doctor in a few weeks, it will certainly be interesting to see how he weighs in...  And on to the pictures:
