Eight Month Photos (just a few days late)

We FINALLY got around to taking Noah's eight month photos.  Noah actually turned eight months old on Saturday, but we had a busy weekend and didn't really have a chance to take the pictures until today.  But Noah is cute, as usual, and there are a bunch of photos on the web album, as usual.  The past month brought a number of firsts for Noah, namely that he started crawling and pulling himself up to stand.  By now, though, he is an expert crawler, is always trying to stand up against furniture, toys, or us, and is developing quite a babble-ish vocabulary.  I can only imagine what the next month will bring for our sweet little man, and for Jana and me too.

Enjoy the photos!

Noah's First Cubs Game

We went to Noah's first game today with our friends Greg and Nick.  Because the game was a rain-out scheduled from Monday, the stadium was only about half full, and we got really nice seats for half cost.  Noah was taking in all the people and the scenery, and handled everything really well.  After the Cubs scored their first run, and the stadium boomed with cheers, Noah got upset and started crying (which was actually really adorable).  And Noah was a sight in his little hat and Cubs shirt, pretty much everyone around us took a second to tell us how cute he was.  But the Cubs ended up with a win, which is hopefully a good sign for the fortunes Noah will experience as a Cubs fan.

Enjoy the pics!  All the new ones are in the new album.

Portland/Seattle Vacation

Jana, Noah and I recently got back from a vacation to Portland and Seattle, to see some of my family.  My uncle and aunt, Ken and Peggi, cousins Tucker and Cearra and Tucker's fiance Laura live in Portland, and for the most part had yet to meet our little guy.  It was so nice seeing the family and getting to share Noah with them for a week.  We hung out in Portland for a few days, then spent the weekend in Seattle.  The entire trip was great, and it was a real treat to share this beautiful new part of our life with them all.  We missed everyone the second we left, but we are so appreciative of how easy it is to catch up with them despite the distance between us and our visits.  We only wish Chicago and Portland could somehow become closer to eachother...

So, I posted a number of new photos to the web album, but there is something new:  we filled up the original web album, so I had to start a new one.  I'll continue to post links to both albums, just in case you want to look back at old photos, but for this post the photos are split between the old and new albums.

Remember to check both albums for photos of our trip.  Enjoy!

Pics From the Weekend

Jana was out of town this weekend for a friend's wedding, so it was a guy's weekend at home for Noah and me.  On Friday I also had Zoe, our niece, which was a lot of fun but exhausting.  I don't know how Jana was a nanny for two babies when she was pregnant, she must be some kind of superwoman.  But Noah is crawling everywhere right now, down hallways, into bedrooms, under tables... we really need to keep an eye on him.  He's also started to pull himself up into a standing position!  He had woken up from a nap a few days ago and was crying a bit, so I went in to get him, and he was standing in his crib holding the railing!  He's pulled himself up a few times since then, and if he can't get himself up to his feet he'll usually at least get onto his knees (like in the pic below).  He's also getting more and more articulate with his babbling, and Jana is starting to think that when he says "dada" he's actually talking about me.  I'm not sure if I agree yet, but he does say it a lot so, who knows?  But we are constantly amazed by our little Noah, and it seems every day brings something new, fun, cute and exciting.

Enjoy the pictures below, and check the album for more!
