Tucker!

My cousin Tucker came in to town from Oregon last night and is staying with us until Saturday, when he heads out for New York to see his fiance Laura.  We hit the town today and did some sightseeing downtown.  Noah seemed to enjoy the excursion, as he was barely made a peep, but at times he appeared to be utterly concerned with the fact that this world is much larger than he initially thought.  The world as you know it is only going to keep getting bigger little guy!

A Busy Day For Noah

On Monday, we took Noah to the Shedd with Dominic, Hollie and Christopher.  With Monday being President's Day, the aquarium was absolutely packed, but we managed to weave our way through the crowds and see a lot of aquatic life.  Every time we stopped to look at an animal, Christopher made sure that Noah had a good view too.  A five year old making sure a 2 month old could see the animals?  Yeah, that's adorable.

After the Shedd, Jana, Noah, myself and our friend Fizz headed to Borders (they're having a store closing sale).  Noah made another trip out sans car seat, but he really seems to enjoy the baby Bjorn.  Within a few minutes, he was fast asleep, and didn't wake up much until we got back home.  So, a busy day for Noah, but a good one for sure.

Noah's Baptism

Noah's baptism was a wonderful day for Jana and me, thanks to everyone who made it so nice.  The ceremony went well, and we both enjoyed relaxing afterward at the reception.  Noah handled the busy day well, we are so fortunate that he's such a relaxed little guy.  I added a number of pictures to the online album, but you can see a few of them below (as well as a link to the album).  Also, if anyone has pictures from the day that they wouldn't mind sending to me, please do so, I would really appreciate it!  You don't have to send all of your pictures, because that could become quite a chore, but maybe just your favorites.  My email address is kyle.ogrodnik@gmail.com.

New Pics

Here's just a few pictures of Noah from today, having some fun with mom and dad.  Enjoy!

Three posts in one day!

Noah is getting so strong, he pretty much dominates tummy time.  He's getting good at holding his head up high for long stretches of time and, thankfully, doesn't fuss over tummy time and even seems to enjoy it.

Noah Starts "Reading"

Noah has a book with different black and white patterns on it, and for whatever reason, he loves staring at the pages.  When he's "reading" his book, he'll just sit there, smiling and talking to himself, completely amused.  Next week I think we'll start him on the Harry Potter series...

Noah's Day Out

Today we took advantage of the weather and took a walk down to Borders.  This was Noah's first time out not in a car seat, so he got to really actually see the world.  He looked pretty perplexed, I think we blew his mind today.  I think the pictures say it all!

New gear from Great Grandma!

My grandma knitted Noah a jacket, it's really adorable.  Everything she makes looks professionally done, it's quite amazing.  I took a few pictures of Noah in the jacket, but I'll have to get more once we actually take him out in it.  Thanks Grandma!

Two Month Check-Up

Noah had his two month appointment today, which is a big one - he got his first round of vaccines.  He only had two shots, but they were big shots, and he wasn't too happy about them.  But, we were able to calm him down pretty quickly, and he then slept for about half the day.  He's been in pretty good spirits since, but I think his legs are still a bit sore.

Otherwise, the appointment went very well.  Dr. Gehle said Noah is doing lots of things that usually happen closer to 4 months, and was pretty impressed with his strength and how talkative he is.  She even jokingly asked if we are putting him through a baby bootcamp at home (rest assured we are not...).  Noah weighed in at 11 lbs 8 oz, and is 23.25 inches long.  That puts him in the 75th percentile for height, and the 50th percentile for weight, which is exactly where he's been since his 20 week ultrasound.

Noah getting home from the doctor, completely spent:

Two Months!

Noah is now two months old, time is just flying by!  We took a few pictures today to celebrate the occasion.  I posted a few below, but see them all on the web album.

A trip to Great Grandma's

On Saturday we took a trip to my Grandma's house, and got a few pictures out of it.  Noah wasn't too smiley or talkative until the very end of the night, so I was taking too many pics...

Noah's first act of defiance...

Professional Pics

Our friend Michelle is a professional photographer, and she offered to take some pictures of Noah.  We got the pictures in the mail today, I thought it would be nice to share.  A few of the pictures are below, but all of them have been added to the web album:  https://picasaweb.google.com/115086009996586494935/Noah

These pictures were taken a few weeks back, and, to me at least, Noah looks so much different now!  It seems he's changing every day, which is beautiful, but at the same time we know we're going to miss "this version" of Noah (even though we'll love every version of him).  Anyways, enjoy the pics, and if you get a chance, check out Michelle's website to see some of her work at www.michellelytle.com.  Thanks Michelle!
